When this book was first published in 1979 it was the earnest prayer of the Publishers that God would use it to stir up any who are not enjoying and deriving benefit from the daily habit of reading His word consecutively. With this new edition that desire remains the same. We trust that it will also be of value in providing many a seed-thought for His servants as they prepare messages for many differing occasions in His service. Whilst there are many other helpful books for devotional use, few aim to act as a guide through the New Testament from start to finish, like this one. By way of short, daily comments, it offers help to a clearer understanding of the word of truth.
