This small book, which is built around the author’s own experience of suffering, reveals in 13 short chapters much of the Bible’s answer to suffering in the life of a Christian. Comparatively little is said about the writer’s own pain and disability, but much is made of the realities of comfort and strength to be found in God and submission to His will. Every sentence gives the impression of being beaten out in the experience of the author. The beauty of the promises of God and His aim in allowing suffering are set forth in a very helpful way.
