Works emanating from assembly-based publishers of an Apologetics character are somewhat rare. For this reason alone, BRYAN SHELDON’s book is interesting. It is a work of some scholarship making reference to Jewish religious writings as well as the works of Jewish historians.
The aim of the writer is to examine the New Testament record and scrutinize ‘the conflict between Jesus of Nazareth and the Sanhedrin’, recognizing that ‘at the heart of the conflict was the matter of the miracles of the Messiah’. With that purpose the book explores what evidences the Messiah was expected to provide and how, through the four gospel writings, the Lord’s claims were authenticated. Those desirous to strengthen their faith would find this book of interest and help in their study of the stated subject.
