Please Don’t Forget This Time

Six YEARS AGO some of our friends complained (to us or to others!) that we had ceased to supply them with the magazine. Most of them felt sure it was because they had not recently given toward expenses. A few were specially aggrieved because they had just sent a gift.
Actually finance had nothing at all to do with the matter. We welcome this opportunity to make it quite clear that there never has been any connection between donations received and magazines supplied. We are quite happy to send copies wherever they are appreciated and our mailing list is never compared with our subscription list. Our friends ceased to receive the magazine because they tailed to respond to our request that they should renew their orders.
We decided to revise our mailing list to ensure that magazines were sent only to those who really wanted them, and the new mailing list consisted of those confirmed orders only.
The time has come when we feel we must rewrite the list again. This is not because of financial need gifts have all along enabled us to meet expenses – but because we feel responsible not to waste any of the money entrusted to us, but to ensure as far as we can that all the magazines we print are correctly dispatched and put to good use.
If you have received this magazine direct from us there should be with it an order card and an envelope. Kindly complete this order card carefully (block letters, please!) and post it to us. Please use the envelope so as to protect the card from disfigurement in transit. Do it now – before you forget! Thank you.
If you receive your copy from an assembly parcel please confirm your order to the brother who distributes them. (Distributors will find on page 192 a special note addressed to them).
The new mailing list formed by these order cards will, D.V., come into operation for the January-February, 1959, issue, therefore it is necessary for the cards to be posted to us as soon as possible.
This notice does not apply to overseas orders or to new United Kingdom orders received during 1958. In such cases magazines will be supplied as before without re-ordering.
